Four squares, four kinds of hotel.
Art, capsule, casino and ice — an independent index arranged like a board. Short entries, written by hand, with no booking links.

A1 – B2Each category holds one square. Light and dark alternate, the way they do on any board; the coordinate in the corner is simply how we refer to a section in the rest of the text.
Art Hotels
Hotels where the collection, the commission or the building itself is the reason to walk in.
3 entries B1Capsule Hotels
Compact sleeping berths and shared facilities, built around efficiency rather than square metres.
3 entries A2Casino Hotels
Full-service hotels that happen to include a gaming floor among their facilities.
4 entries B2Ice Hotels
Seasonal and year-round structures built from snow and ice, rebuilt or maintained on a fixed cycle.
1 entryWe index eleven hotels. That is a deliberately small number. Adding a twelfth would mean either writing about somewhere we have nothing particular to say, or stretching a category until it stops meaning anything — and the ice section in particular shows what happens when the genuine supply runs out: we list what exists and stop there rather than inventing a property to balance the grid.
No ratings, no reviews, no availability calendars, no affiliate links. If an entry reads like it is trying to sell you something, we have written it badly.
